‘Mukhaputa’ director multi talented Roopa Iyer has come out with a novel subject that concerns the Royal Families. For the multi crores project ‘Chandra’ Kannada, Tamil and Telugu film Roopa Iyer has in mind charming Ramya the queen of Sandalwood (is this not a birthday gift to heroine who turned 29 on 29th November 2011) and lovely star Premkumar.

Roopa Iyer has completed one round of talk with actress Ramya and the agreement has not yet been reached. At present Ramya is playing the role of Indra’s daughter in ‘Katari Veera Surasundarangi’. I want to show her has the most beautiful queen in this film ‘Chandra’. Ramya has given the dates to February 2012 and Premkumar is happy with this selection.

Ramya and Prem are teamed again after ‘Jothegara’ Kannada cinema. Prior to it Toogudeepa Srinivas Productions cast the two in ‘Jothe Jotheyali’ the debut direction of Dinakar Toogudeepa.

In ‘Chandra’ the hero and heroine names are ‘Chandra’. The first happening in Travancore royal family is the base for Roopa Iyer. The concept is very clear – the generations of Royal families do not have equal status to bind the relationships. Most of them are marrying foreigners to suit the aristocracy. This is the research work of Roopa Iyer and she has many interesting facts to support her ‘Chandra’ subject.

The film will be a traditional love story film. The protagonist Chandra breaks the norms of her Maharaja family and focus ‘Love’ is essential of all in this universe. Breaking the barrier is the subject almost ready for India Classic Art production with equity shares holders.

Roopa Iyer speaking to chitratara.com stated that Ramya is the right choice and she is her best friend. She has immensely liked the subject.

As ‘Mukhaputa’ dubbing did not properly shape up Roopa Iyer has decided to shoot 30 percent outside the Karnataka state for this film and make trilingual film.
